Meet Karen Alford

Karen Alford, CPC, CRC, CPC-I, CEMC, is the managing owner of Alford’s Coding & Signing Services LLC. She brings more than 18 years of medical coding experience, including work across physician practice, health system, and payer settings. Her background in risk adjustment, evaluation and management coding, and coding education informs a practical approach to each engagement.

Karen leads the company’s healthcare consulting and professional education work. We support organizations with coding and auditing, documentation quality, billing and claims processes, revenue cycle improvement, and compliance and risk control. We also help coding professionals build skills and prepare for the CPC exam.
